Who We Are

We are a Caribbean-based people, leadership, business and service excellence consultancy. Our services include soft skills training and development, psychometric assessments, coaching, strategic planning, change management, HR advisory and management services, and group facilitation. Our clients span the gamut of private, public, not-for-profit and community-based organizations.  We are also a registered Assessment Centre with The Barbados Technical & Vocational Education Training Council.

 

Toney A. Olton - Principal Consultant

Our Principal Consultant brings a wealth of training and management experience to his leadership of the team. He is a trained educator, a former Life Insurance VP of Sales, and a former reserve officer in The Barbados Defense Force.  His passion for and commitment to people, leadership and business excellence is evidenced by his own continuing professional development, and the diligence with which he serves his clients.  Toney is a member of The Caribbean Institute of Certified Management Consultants.  He holds a Technical Teachers' Training Certificate, and is a Certified Associate Trainer with 6 Seconds, a leading international Emotional Intelligence Training Consultancy and Network.  He has completed studies in Management (CMD-UWI), and The Psychology of Work (Leicester). He is a certified Hospitality Assured business advisor, certified competency-based trainer, and a Caribbean Vocational Qualifications Level 4 certified assessor.  Toney is also certified in Group Facilitation Technology, holds advanced certification in Holistic Counseling, NLP Master Practitioner certification, and is a certified life coach.  He is certified in the administration of the MBTI personality assessment by the American Management Association and The Saville Consulting Wave suite of psychometric assessments.   He has also completed the FranklinCovey 'Seven Habits of Highly Effective People' and 'Unleashing Human Potential' professional development programs. He is a member of The International Association of Facilitators, is a former Chair of The Caribbean Facilitators Network and President of The Bridgetown Toastmaster Club.  He is the Barbados Family Planning Association's 2015 recipient of the Lady Grace Adams Volunteer of The Year award, and is a member of The Optimists of Barbados South Club.

 

Toney founded Potter Centre in 1998 and has earned an outstanding reputation among both his individual and corporate clients as a highly competent soft skills trainer and organization development consultant, consistently delivering quality results. Olivet Hinds - Change Management & HR Specialist

Olivet Hinds PhD, is an Associate Consultant with the Potter Center specializing in the change, transformation, and adaptive leadership practice.  Prior to consulting, Olivet worked as HR executive in various sectors in Barbados, the Caribbean, and the United States.  Through facilitation, thought leadership, training, and coaching, she empowers leaders and clients to improve business strategies and employee relations. Olivet has conducted research on the topic of organizational learning, and utilises a self-designed framework to assess employee emotional responses and cross-cultural differences during mergers and acquisitions.

As an Emotional Intelligence (EQ) Practitioner and member of EQ Barbados, Olivet strongly supports the vision of the non-profit organization formed to enhance emotional well-being by empowering individuals to live more enriched lives.

   

 

   

Krisnan Hurdle - Strategic Intervention Life Coach

Krisnan is a Tony Robbins trained Strategic Intervention Life Coach. Having practiced his leadership and coaching skillrs in his previous job role Krisnan made a decision to attain formal competencies by pursuing certification in Leadership training, Life Coaching and Counselling. During his stint with a national youth organization over the past six years Krisnan has been the coordinator of a national leadership program for students in the secondary schools which involved hosting an annual national leadership camp for secondary students. This program has seen four national scholarship and exhibition achievers coming from among its participants.

Having laid a foundation with a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology with Management (with Honors) Krisnan continued to bolster his competencies by completing FranklinCovey's Signature Leadership Program - "Leadership: Great Leaders, Great Teams, Great Results". He completed a course in Supervisory Management through the Barbados Institute of Management and Productivity (BIMAP) and also possesses a Caribbean Vocational Qualification (CVQ) Level 3 certification in Management.

Krisnan exudes enthusiasm and passion as he gives himself fully to the work he does.

   

 

   

Ms. Cheryl "Nyahra" Gittens - Life Performance Coach

Nyahra is a speaker, consultant, inspired author and creator of Connect With Your Passion® Retreats and Life Coaching.  She coaches highly motivated professionals to turn their passions into lifestyle supporting service businesses.  Nyahra has whole lot of exciting things planned for her life and can't wait to experience them deeply so she can share with the rest of the world. Commissioned to bring her life's journey to the world through Connect With Your Passion, she honours her responsibility through her coaching, speaking, facilitation and outreach programmes. Nyahra is one who believes that each of us is born with a blueprint of our purpose. However, along the way we learned to ignore our blueprint as we wandered our way through life listening to those "wiser" than ourselves.

 

 

Ms. Norma Shorey, CMC

Norma is the consumate consulting professional.  She is a founding member and former president of The Caribean Institute of Certified Management Consultants (Barbados Chapter) and has 25 years of consulting experience with a specific focus on leadership and change management.
